
Lise Croteau
Corporate Director
A graduate in Business Administration from the Université de Sherbrooke, Mrs. Lise Croteau also holds the titles of Fellow of l’Ordre des comptables professionnels agréés du Québec (FCPA, FCA) and of Administratrice de sociétés certifiée (ASC). She began her career as an auditor before joining Hydro-Québec in 1986 where she spent over 30 years in the Financial Management Division.
She was Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer from 2015 to 2018 after serving as Vice President, Accounting and Control for seven years. In her role, she was responsible for guiding, developing and overseeing all financial, regulatory and management accounting activities, as well as activities related to budget planning, taxation, financial control and risk management. During her position as a senior executive which lasted more than a decade, she also played a strategic and influential role in all the company’s operations. She also served as Acting President and Chief Executive Officer of Hydro-Québec from May to July 2015.
Her professional achievements have been recognized by Financial Executives International Canada (FEI Canada - Quebec Section), which awarded her the “Ace of Finance” award in the “Financial Executive of a Large Corporation” category in 2017. She was also named one of Canada’s 100 Most Influential Women by the Women’s Executive Network (WXN) in 2016.
As a corporate director since 2018, Mrs. Croteau also sits on the Boards of Quebecor and Total.
